The food at Land of Bourbon is incredible value for money. I visited on a cold Monday lunchtime, and the most expensive dish was only £3. That dish was the vegan buffalo “wings” – essentially big chunks of cauliflower covered in batter and marinated in a moreish hot sauce – delicious!
We also gave the jerk vegan wrap a try – at only £2.50, it’s an excellent option for lunch. To top things off, we got a portion of chips and vegan cheese. Unfortunately, because it was so cold, the cheese didn’t get much of a chance to melt, but the chips themselves were tasty regardless.
Small but perfectly formed, the Land of Bourbon has a mouthwatering menu full of tasty vegan food at a very reasonable price. A great wee gem in the Old Town.
