Vegan options available at Burr & Co
This cute little coffee shop on George Street has a small range of goodies for vegans. Burr & Co pride themselves on the quality of their coffee, so even the non-dairy milks are carefully selected to best compliment the flavours of their blend. You won’t find soya milk here – instead, you can have your brew made with oat, almond or coconut milk (oat milk is my personal favourite). For lunch, there is the option of vegan salad or warm seasonal vegetable stew.
For lunch, there is the option of seasonal salad or warm vegetable stew. If you would like something a little sweeter, they have a beautifully moist coconut and chocolate cake well worth trying.

Last time I went in, it was a chilly day just before Christmas. The streets were bustling outside with last-minute festive shoppers, but I managed to sneak a small table to myself and sit while watching the world go by.
The only cake option available was the chocolate and coconut cake, but believe me when I say this is the best chocolate cake I have ever tasted. Like EVER. The coconut flavour isn’t too overpowering, and the sponge was so moist and rich I couldn’t stop myself from gobbling it all up in one.
The coffee was very good too. The oat milk is always a winner for me and the carefully selected coffee blend worked really well in my cappuccino.
Burr & Co. might not have the biggest vegan selection ever, but this cosy coffee shop is still worthy of your attention. Even if it is just for that gorgeous chocolate cake.
