UPDATED REVIEW! Don’t worry, you’re not suffering from deja vu. Mr B and I recently popped into BURGER. to try their vegan offering, but it turns out I had timed our visit very badly. Just a few days after my original visit, BURGER. made extensive improvements to their menu, including a more bespoke vegan range.
Not wanting to be misrepresented online, BURGER. invited me back to try their new and improved offering, and boy I am glad they did!
Vegan food at BURGER.
So what’s new at BURGER.? Well, the vegan patty has a new improved recipe, there is a new bun available (for those who don’t fancy the gluten-free variety) and there is new build-your-own menu, so you can create your own perfect burger from all your favourite fillings.
The menu is still super-clear, so everything that is vegan on the menu is still clearly marked so.

The new vegan offering at BURGER is great. Yes there is still only one vegan patty, however the choice in buns and toppings give you the opportunity to really make it your own. The gluten-free bun is still available for those who need to avoid that kind of thing, but personally I found the new sourdough bun a vast improvement. It’s much softer and compliments the fillings much better.
I had the vegan special with vegan mayo, kimchi and vegan cheese. I’ll be honest, I never really thought of kimchi as a burger topping before, but in this case it did work quite well. Just be prepared to eat it with your knife and fork or it can get messy very quickly!
Mr B is a bit more of a fusspot, so he opted to build his own burger with vegan cheese, onion, lettuce and BBQ sauce. While he liked the new sourdough bun, he also enjoyed the gluten-free bun on our last visit. The fries and the onion rings served as the perfect sides for our meal, and it was great to have a nice dollop of vegan mayo to dip them into.
Even if you have tried BURGER. before, it’s definitely worth paying them another visit. They’ve kept all the good aspects from their previous menu, but they now offer a more bespoke burger-munching experience. Definitely worth a second look!
