Tucked away at the east side of the New Town you will find the vibrant area of Broughton. Home to the Edinburgh Playhouse and the tram terminus, this is a busy part of town with lots of buzzing bars and restaurants.
The Omni Centre has lots of chain restaurants with reliable crowd-pleasers, but if you want to try something a little different try strolling over to Broughton Street, which has a good selection of independent eateries.
Head along London Road and you will come across the Abbeyhill and Meadowbank area, home to Edinburgh’s first fully-vegan supermarket, Easter Greens.
